Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme with Nvidia Graphics Launched in India

Lenovo had revealed a new series of laptops called the ThinkPad X1 Extreme at the IFA 2018 in September. Now, the laptop has finally launched in the Indian markets. According to the company, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme is the most powerful ThinkPad laptop that the company has designed till date. This new ThinkPad series laptops are ideal for editing, rendering, data-intensive work and gaming.

Some of the highlighted features on the laptop include Nvidia graphics, Dolby Vision HDR support, Intel Core i7 processor, USB Type-C based Thunderbolt 3. Additionally, along with the Intel Core i7, Lenovo had already introduced an Intel Core i9 variant. However, the Core i9 variant is still not available in India.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: Price

For now, Lenovo has launched 3 variants of the laptop in India. The variants are as follows:

  • A base variant with Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD – Priced at Rs 197,470
  • An Intel Core i7 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD – Priced at Rs 204,470
  • And finally, a 1TB SSD variant with 16GB RAM and Core i7 – Priced at Rs 302,010

The third variant is still not available for buying and will only go on sale on January 10. Nevertheless, interested buyers can pre-book this laptop before the sale. And, as for the Intel Core i9 variant, there is still no confirmation about its availability in India.

This laptop is designed with multimedia and gaming capabilities for users. The laptop comes with a 15.6-ich UHD HDR touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It is one of the first touchscreen laptops in India in 2019.  Additionally, the display also supports IPS antiglare, 300nits brightness and Dolby Vision support. When it comes to design, the laptop is very similar to the previously launched ThinkPad X1 Carbon.

Under the hood, every variant is supported by Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card, UHD Graphics 630 and 64GB DDR4 RAM. Furthermore, an interesting thing about most the latest Lenovo laptops is the ability to expand the RAM and SSD. Moreover, these laptops also have a dual-fan cooling system to dissipate heat.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: Connectivity, Battery & Audio

On the connectivity end, the laptops support HDMI, SD card reader, two USB 3.1 ports, two USB Type-C ports, headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

For audio and music, the laptop comes with support for Dolby Audio Premium, Dolby Atmos, far-field microphones, noise-cancelling, and dual-array.

And lastly, on the battery end, the laptop supports an 80WHr battery. Lenovo claims that this battery can last for 15 hours on a single charge. Additionally, the laptop also comes with RapidCharge which can charge the device to 80 percent in one hour.
