The Lenovo P2 smartphone is launched in India on January 11 by the Chinese company. The smartphone will be available in two variants- 3GB of RAM priced at Rs 16,999 and 4GB of RAM priced at Rs 17,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart from Wednesday midnight. It will come in Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey color options.
The Lenovo P2 smartphone is eligible for a launch day offer in which the customers will get additional exchange offer of up to Rs 2,000 when an old smartphone is exchanged. Also, SBI credit cardholders will get 10 percent of discount.
“We are kicking off 2017 in a fully charged way by launching Lenovo P2, a powerhouse smartphone with the longest battery and fastest charging,” said Sudhin Mathur, Executive Director, Lenovo Mobile Business Group India.
The key feature of this Lenovo mobile is its 5100mAh battery which is claimed to deliver 3 days of battery life or more than 18 hours of video playback by the company. The handset supports fast charging feature which could charge the device almost 30 percent faster than Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. The device can stretch up to 10 hours of normal usage with 15 minutes of charging. In addition, the Lenovo P2 smartphone can also serve as a power bank for other devices.
The Lenovo P2 has a fingerprint sensor embedded in home button on the front. The device has a Dual Apps mode which let users use two different accounts on the same device.
Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo P2 smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass. The device is accelerated by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
The Lenovo P2 offers a 13MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor dual LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper. The device measures dimensions at 153x76x8.2mm and weighs 179 grams. The connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, and Bluetooth.
