Kodak Ektra Smartphone Launched With Camera-Centric Features

When it comes to photography, Kodak always comes in mind. The Kodak brand has a rich history, but it failed to sustain its pace in the modern photographic world. Therefore, the company witnessed bankruptcy in 2013 as its film business was outdated. And now, the company seems to be experimenting with smartphones.

Kodak had launched the IM5 and SP4 smartphones last year. And now, the company is shifting its focus towards the selfie-centric smartphone. The latest Kodak mobile, Kodak Ektra is named after its 1941’s iconic rangefinder camera range. The latest camera phone will be priced at £449 which roughly indicated Rs 33,000.

The highlight of the Kodak Ektra smartphone is its 21MP fast focus camera sensor which offers f/2.0 aperture, OIS, dual-LED flash, and PDAF. It has an industry leading 13MP front-facing camera sensor with phase detection autofocus and f/2.2 aperture.

The Kodak Ektra comes with a custom camera app which supports intuitive haptic touch and SLR camera like scene selection dial which allows users to choose the various camera settings in real time including Panorama, Macro, Sport, Night, HDR, Bokeh, Film/Video, Landscape, and Portrait mode. The Smart Auto mode in Ektra automatically selects the best settings and captures the perfect photographs. The Smartphone comes with Snapseed photo editing app pre-loaded on it.
