Samsung has officially announced two budget smartphones in the Indian market, named as the Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G. The Samsung Galaxy J Ace is available for purchase at a price of Rs 8,490 whereas the Samsung Galaxy J1 4G is available at a price of Rs 6,890.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace was recently been spotted on an online re-seller website and the Samsung Galaxy J1 4G is already listed on the company’s official website.
“We are pleased to expand our portfolio with the addition of Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G in the under Rs 10,000 budget segment,” Manu Sharma, Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India said.
Coming to the specifications of the Galaxy J2 Ace, the Samsung mobile features a 5-inch display powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The smartphone is juiced by a 2600mAh battery which is claimed to deliver 12 hours of talk time on the 3G network. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with TouchWiz UI on top.
For photography, the Galaxy J2 Ace smartphone offers an 8MP primary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 5MP front camera for selfies. Both the cameras on the device come with LED flash. The smartphone offers popular camera features such as auto flash, scene mode, ISO setting, self-timer, and touch to focus. The Galaxy J2 Ace is a 4G VoLTE mobile and comes with connectivity options like dual-SIM, GPS, Google Maps, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The sensors on board include an accelerometer, geomagnetic, and gyro sensor. The device measures dimensions at 144.8×72.1×8.9mm and weighs 160 grams.
Alternatively, the Galaxy J1 4G features a 4-5-inch Super AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy J1 4G is one of the cheapest smartphones to come with a Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of ROM. It runs on Android 5.1 Marshmallow OS.
The smartphone offers a 5MP primary rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, there is a 2MP front camera for selfies. The handset is backed by a 2050mAh battery which is claimed to deliver a talk time of up to 12 hours on 3G networks. For connectivity, the device features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, micro USB, and Bluetooth. It has accelerometer and proximity sensor.
