Coolpad Note 5 Lite With 4G VoLTE Support Launched in India

Coolpad has added a new smartphone in its product portfolio dubbed as the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. As the name suggests, the latest mobile is a stripped down version of last year’s Coolpad Note 5 smartphone. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite smartphone will be made available exclusively via Amazon India for a price of Rs 8,199 from March 21. The device will be offered in Gold and Grey colour options.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It flaunts a screen-to-body ratio of 70.6 percent. Under the hood, there lays a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor paired with Mala 720 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. On the software department, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS powered by Cool UI 8.0 skin on top.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite offers a 13MP primary rear camera with the dual-LED flash module. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with LED flash. It has a dedicated fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. The device supports external storage of up to 64GB via microSD card and comes with USB OTG support.

The connectivity option on Coolpad Note 5 Lite includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB, and Wi-Fi. The sensor on board includes an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The device is powered by a 2500mAh battery which claimed to deliver stand by time of up to 200 hours by the company. It measures dimensions at 145.3×72.3×8.7mm and weighs 148 grams.

To recall, the original Coolpad Note 5 was launched back in September last year with starting price of Rs 10,999. The handset features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The Coolpad Note 5 boasts a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and up to 64GB of external storage via microSD card.

On the camera front, there is a 13MP primary rear camera present on the device alongside an 8MP selfie shooter. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and packs a massive 4010mAh battery.

Coolpad has over 380 service centres in the country across 29 states. The company also mentioned during the event that the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual smartphone managed to sell 2 million units in the global market.
