Asus had launched its Zenwatch 3 earlier this year at IFA 2016 and now the company has finally released its latest smartwatch in India. The newly launched smartwatch will be available exclusively on Flipkart and the pre-orders for the smartwatch have already started. It is offered in three models with starting price of Rs 17,599 and goes up to Rs 18,999.
The Asus ZenWatch 3 WI503Q-1LDBR0015 (Gunmetal case+ leather strap) is priced at Rs 18,999. The WI503Q-2RBGE0007 (Silver + rubber strap) model is also priced at Rs 18,999 whereas the Wi503Q-1RGRY0007 (Gunmetal case + rubber strap) model is priced at Rs 17,599. The smartwatch will be available from January 2017.
Coming to the specifications, the Asus Zenwatch 3 WI503Q model features a 1.39-inch (400×400 pixels) circular AMOLED display with 287ppi pixel density. It comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and supports touch for up to two fingers. It is made out of jewelry-grade 316L stainless steel which assures premium look yet sturdy form factor.
The watch runs on Android Wear OS. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch comes with a 340mAh battery with HyperCharge technology that has the capability to charge up to 60 percent within 15 minutes of charging which could deliver up to 1-2 days of backup.
For connectivity, the Asus Zenwatch 3 has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also has an integrated microphone which is ideal for the call and other purposes. The sensors on board include 6-axis (G+A), ambient light sensor, and activity tracker. Asus claims that the device can track the fitness activity with up to 95 percent accuracy. Furthermore, it comes with IP67 certification which assures water resistance.
In addition, the ZenWatch 3 offers 50 pre-loaded watch faces which could be adjusted through the ZenWatch Manager smartphone app. The device is compatible with both Android mobiles and iOS mobiles. Moreover, users can personalize the watch faces by creating unique faces from a FaceDesign app. The users can further modify the functionality of the top crown button.
