Asus has unveiled its latest tablet dubbed as the ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) at the Zenvolution event which was held just a few days before the IFA 2016 event. Recently, Asus has released an LTE variant of this tablet called as the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE (Z500KL) which supports 4G, features a larger battery, and a better processor. The new tablet is available in Malaysian market for a price of MYR 1,799 (approximately Rs 28,000). The company has bundled the tablet with a protective cover and custom stand.
The Taiwanese OEM, Asus previously launched the ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) tablet without cellular connectivity. It features MediaTek MT8176 SoC and is cheaper than the new version. As the name suggest, the ZenPad 3S 10 LTE comes with LTE connectivity and features a Z Stylus which is competent of detecting 1024 different pressure levels. Also, the tablet features a stereo audio system with dual five-magnet speakers.
Coming to the specifications, the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE features a 9.7-inch QXGA (1536×2048 pixels) IPS display with multi-touch support and Tru2Life+ technology. The tablet is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the company is offering 5GB of lifetime cloud storage space with the tablet and also 100GB of Google Drive space for two years.
On the camera front, the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE offers an 8MP primary rear camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording capabilities. At the front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It is backed by a 7800mAh Li-Polymer battery. Asus claims that the tablet can deliver up to 16 hours of usage with a single charge.
The sensor on the board includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, cap sensor, gyroscope, hall sensor, and e-compass. The connectivity option on the device includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, AGPS, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The tablet measures dimensions at 242.3×164.2×6.75mm and weighs 490 grams. The ZenPad 3S 10 LTE is available in Slate Grey colour. There is no word on the international availability of Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE.
