Asus has released its photography-centric smartphone called as the Asus Zenfone Zoom S in India on the eve of World Photography Day. The newly launched mobile will be made available for Rs 26,999.

The smartphone was first launched as the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom at CES 2017 and later rebranded as Asus Zenfone Zoom S for a few markets.
The key highlight of the new Asus Zenfone Zoom S is its dual rear camera setup which offers two 12MP sensors. One among the dual camera setup incorporates a 25mm wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture, while the other one is a zoom lens that offers an instant 2.3x true optical zoom and 12x total zoom capability.

The Zenfone Zoom S also offers electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The other camera features on Zenfone Zoom S includes Dual Pixel PDAF, RAW file support, laser autofocus, and subject tracking autofocus.
The latest Asus mobile has a full manual mode which allows the camera to tweak imaging settings such as focus, white balance, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure value. Up front, the smartphone has a 13MP selfie snapper with Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture.
To stay alive, the phone packs a massive 5000mAh battery. The phone is claimed to deliver a standby time of up to 42 days by the company. Moreover, the device also supports reverse charging feature.
Coming to the specifications, the Asus Zenfone Zoom S features a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The phone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and external storage up to 2TB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box; however, the company is expected to offer an update to Android Nougat OS soon.
The Connectivity Features will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset measures dimensions at 154.3x77x7.9mm and weighs 170 grams. It will be offered in Glacier Silver and Navy Black colour options. The phone is presently available exclusively on Flipkart for purchase.
