The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has recently launched its new flagship device called Mi MIX 2S in China. The company also announced its first gaming-focused laptop called the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop during the event in China. It is a 15.6-inch gaming notebook which flaunts a thin profile and measures only 20.9mm thickness. Even with such thin form factor, the notebook manages to pack a Nvidia GeForce 1060 graphics card with up to 6GB of video memory.
The all-new Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop is offered in two variants and the pricing starts at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 62,000). The top model costs CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 93,000). Although it’s a gaming laptop, the new Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop doesn’t look like the other gaming laptops. The company has blended the looks of its new gaming laptop with the looks of business laptops.
Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop: Specifications
The new Xiaomi notebook runs on Windows 10 OS and features a 15.6-inch full HD screen. The screen supports 178-degree of viewing angles, 72 percent NTSC colour gamut, and has a narrow frame design. It has a 16 million RGB backlit keyboard with five programmable keys.
Like mentioned above, the Mi Gaming laptop comes in two variants. The base variant packs an Intel Core i5 processor along with 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card, 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of SSD storage.

On the other hand, the top model comes with an Intel Core i7 processor paired with 16GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, 6GB GDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Both variants have 1TB of 2.5-inch hard drive.
The connectivity options include four USB 3.0 ports with a USB Type-C, Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and microphone + headphone jacks. Also, there is a 3-in-1 memory card reader. The gaming notebook has 46-percent air-inlet grills alongside 3+2 large diameter heat pipes. This setup allows optimal heat management.
For amazing sound experience, there are two 3W speakers with Hi-Res Audio integration and Dolby Atmos.
