TRI Partners with TCL To Produce Turing Phone Appassionato

Turing Robotic Industries (TRI) has recently declared its partnership with TCL for the next smartphone called as the Turing Phone Appassionato. TRI’s first smartphone dubbed as the Turing Phone was announced back in 2015 and the release of the smartphone is yet to happen. Hopefully, the partnership with TCL will assure the launch of Appassionato in the market. The company announced that the Appassionato smartphone will be available in two variants and its shipping will begin from September 2017.

The elite edition of the Turing Phone Appassionato PX8 will be made available at $1,099 (roughly Rs 70,700) and the high-end edition Appassionato GX8 will be priced at $1,599 (roughly Rs 1,02,800). TRI further said that the upcoming mobile will be the world’s first mass-produced Liquidmorphium smartphone. It will also feature an AI-based assistant called as ‘Sir Alan’. Beside the Liquidmorphium, the handset will have a diamond-like carbon coating which will give a high-tech ceramic feel along with a scratch resistant surface.

TRI also mentioned that the device will boast security features which will be incorporated into the Android 7.1.1 OS. The handset is believed to be equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8996SG-AC chipset which appears to be a version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 platform.

Syl Chao who is the CEO at TRI said that the upcoming Appassionato overtook the passive voice command search tools which are present in the existing smartphones. The company will improve the amplified intelligence by integrating the latest developments in AI and human oriented assistance capabilities. The system is said to be inspired by the work of Douglas C. Engelbart who was an American engineer and inventor.

The Sir Alan is TRI’s enhanced-concierge service which will work in co-occurrence with the AI interpretation engine. The combination of these technologies will jointly offer a finely tuned, relevant lifestyle and business suggestions to the Appassionato users.

From the past observations, TRI is known for making very tall claims. Turing mobiles was working on a new smartphone called as the Turing Phone Cadenza which was claimed to come with two Snapdragon 830 chipsets and total 16 cores on board, 12GB of DDR4X RAM, 60MP quad-rear camera, two 20MP front facing cameras, 1TB of internal storage, Marshall-powered audio, a graphene oxide composite body, and option to use up to four SIM cards on the device. TRI expressed that it will launch the Turing Phone Cadenza sometime this year.
