The device has a 2.5D 5.5inch full HD display, with a resolution of 1080x1920, translating to a pixel density of 401 ppi.The smartphone comes with a massive 4GB of RAM, the new Snapdragon 625 processor with 14nm FinFet technology and much-improved battery life. The device is powered by a mammoth 4,100mAh battery.The battery life of the Redmi Note 4 is greatly improved from the Redmi Note 3.

On the imaging front, the Redmi Note 4 features a 13MP BSI CMOS rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and phase detection autofocus. The rear camera lens is sourced from Samsung and Sony and has a 25% larger pixel area as compared to the Redmi Note 3.On the front, there is a 5MP sensor with a wide angle lens that Xiaomi claims have a field of view of 85 degrees.While Xiaomi has extensively modified and tweaked Android in MIUI 8, it is on the whole, very smooth and light, and is amongst the better Android skins out there.

Good build quality, but the plastic antenna strips, which don't even match the base color, diminish the premium punch from the metal back. Fairly bright screen with very good color accuracy and sunlight contrast.Fast, always-on fingerprint reader.MIUI 8.0 is built on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and runs fast; theming and options for notification area, app switcher, etc. make it easy to find the look you want. The Snapdragon 625 chipset offers adequate performance in this price class; it's no match for the Helio X20 in performance but its power efficiency is much better.

Loudspeaker gets a Very Good score, in loudness and audio output.Audio quality is excellently clear; decent loudness with an external amplifier, but below average with headphones plugged in.The 13mp camera shoots fine photos, with average detail, but good dynamic range, contrast, and colors.1080p videos came with average detail and dynamic range, poor sound, but great contrast and colors.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is available in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM models with 32GB and 64GB storage options. The 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant is priced at Rs 9,999, the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM is available at Rs 10,999, and the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM model is priced at Rs 12,999. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in Indian market come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and not a MediaTek chip which was offered in China with such powerful processor.

The device can handle anything you expect from a phone. For gaming, the 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and the Adreno 506 GPU are ideal for handling top notch graphics and speed. On the software front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features Android Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8 on top.
