Nokia 8 is the new Nokia flagship smartphone from HMD Global. It has bright and superior 5.3-inch 2K IPS display.It boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, Dual rear Cameras.The biggest highlight of new Nokia 8 is its dual rear camera setup. HMD Global had partnered the optics giant Carl ZEISS back in July this year and it has introduced the same camera optics in its new Nokia mobile. The camera module includes a set of two 13MP sensors of which one is an RGB sensor while other is a monochrome sensor.

There is a 13MP front-facing camera on the device for selfies and video calling. The front camera supports f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and display flash.The handset is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and external storage of up to 256GB using a microSD card. It draws power from a 3090mAh battery with Quick Charge 3 tech support.The connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Nokia 8 runs on stock Android OS and comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat version out-of-the-box. Moreover, the company is promising the Android O update on the device once Google releases it.

Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch 2K LCD IPS display and has a metal unibody design, though there are two polished color variants of the phone, which have a glossy finish.The 2K display for its part should be adequate for most users, and this is vivid and bright enough.even though this phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is the latest from the chipset maker. But there’s no 6GB or 8GB RAM variant, instead what you get is standard 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable.

The lack of 128 GB variant raises some serious questions, especially since the phone’s front and rear camera both support 4K video recording.The phone has a vertically stacked set of dual rear cameras (13MP Colour sensor with OIS + 13MP Mono sensor), and there’s a front 13MP camera all well. Nokia 8 has PDAF, IR range finder, dual tone flash on the rear camera, and yes there’s the Zeiss Optics branding as well that used to be standard on older Nokia phones.For now, the phone looks as solid as any other Nokia phone from the past. Then there are features like Dual-Sight in the camera, Ozo Audio to name a few.
