Xiaomi had recently released a teaser indicating the launch of the much-rumored Xiaomi Mi 5s smartphone in Beijing, China at an event that is scheduled on September 27. The company is might release the Mi 5s on that date, some rumors are claiming the release of Mi Note 2 as well alongside. While so, the latest leaks have now detailed the upcoming mobile Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro.
According to the report on Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro is supposed to be run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The leaks are claiming that Mi Note 2 Pro will be the first device from Xiaomi to run on Android Nougat.
A screenshot of ‘About Phone’ page of Mi Note 2 Pro reveals that the smartphone will be powered by a rumored Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz. On the storage front, the device is said to accompany an 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone will run on Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 with Android Nougat. However, the website is not sure about the details of the smartphone hence warned that the screenshot might be a fake one.
The upcoming mobile Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to get released at any time soon. The device has already rumored to come with internal storage of 256GB but the RAM variant of 8GB is not mentioned anywhere. Considering this, the Mi Note 2 might also feature 8GB of RAM.
While the details about the Mi Note 2 Pro are incomplete, Xiaomi might launch the device a few months following the release of Mi Note 2. Another possibility is pointing out that the leaked screenshot might another variant of Mi Note 2.
To recall, the upcoming mobile Mi Note 2 is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Super AMOLED display with dual curved edges. The device is supposed to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 2.4GHz quad-core processor paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM variants. The onboard storage will include 64GB, 128GB and 256GB options.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to be released soon with a price of CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 25,100) for 64GB variant and CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 28,150) for 128GB variant.
