Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with 5300mAh Battery Launched in India

Xiaomi has just released a new smartphone called as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in India. The newly launched smartphone is priced at Rs 16,999 and comes with extra data benefit offer for Reliance Jio users. The handset will be made available for purchase on leading e-commerce stores and offline stores from July 27.

Xiaomi had previously released its Mi Max Prime and Mi Max smartphones in India. The latest mobile, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the successor to last year’s Mi Max. The smartphone is eligible for the additional 100GB of 4G data for Reliance Jio users. To redeem the offer, the users will have to make recharge of Rs 309 or above to receive additional 10GB of data. The users can use the offer for up to 10 recharges up to May 31, 2018.

Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering. The device comes with a metal unibody design and boasts antenna bands on the top and bottom sides. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS powered by MIUI 8.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is equipped with a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and Adreno 506 GPU. The 6.44-inch display of the device comes with a pixel density of 342ppi, a 72 percent NTSC colour gamut, and 450nits of brightness which assures legibility in sunlight.

On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 offers a 12MP primary rear camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, a Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25-micron pixels, and dual LED flash. For selfies, the device has a 5MP front-facing camera with real-time beautification and f/2.0 aperture.

The company has launched the 64GB internal storage model in India which supports microSD card up to 128GB for additional storage. On the connectivity front, the handset includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, and GPS/A-GPS. The sensor on board includes an ambient light sensor, infrared sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 boasts a 5300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 tech support. The smartphone is claimed to go from 0 percent of charge to 68 percent in just one hour of charging. The device measures dimensions at 174.1×88.7×7.6mm and weighs 211 grams.
