The smartphone space is already filled with iPhone X lookalikes and Oppo A3 is the new addition to this trend. The new Oppo smartphone is a mid-range offering that comes with iPhone X-like notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio display with the bezel-less design. Oppo A3 has 128GB of built-in storage, which is one more highlight of the device. The new Oppo smartphone has a 128-point face recognition technology which is claimed to unlock the handset in as little as 0.08 seconds.

Oppo has offered ‘nano-scale microcrystalline’ technology on the new device which gives a diamond-like pattern effect. The phone comes with AI-based beautification feature along with scene recognition. It has an AI-based smart assistant, a dedicated game mode that ensures seamless gaming experience, and customised gestures for the bezel-less display. Coming to the pricing, the Oppo A3 comes with a price tag of CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 22,000) in China. However, as an introductory offer, the phone can be purchased at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 21,000). The device will be made available in Black, Red, Pink, and Silver colour options. It noteworthy that the phone was leaked several times before its launch and we already knew much about the device.

Oppo A3: Specifications

The Oppo A3 features a 6.2-inch full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a pixel density of 405ppi offered on the display. The handset comes equipped with a 2GHz MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system powered by company’s ColorOS 5.0 custom UI.

For photography, there is a 16MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture. Besides the internal storage, there is a microSD card slot which can let you expand storage up to 256GB.

The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, micro USB with OTG, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensor on board includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.

The handset measures dimensions at 156×75.3×7.8mm and weighs 159 grams. A 3400mAh battery powers the device. We expect that the phone will be launched in India very soon just like the other Oppo smartphone models.
