HMD Global has recently launched three new smartphones in the Indian market. While the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 Plus are mid-range smartphones, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is a flagship device from the company. The key highlight of these Nokia model is its sturdy design which employs series 6000 aluminium.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at Rs 49,999 in India. It will be available in the Black colour variant. The pre-booking for the device will start on April 20 and it will go on sale on April 30.

The Sirocco model runs on Android Oreo 8.1 operating system out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) pOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, there are curved edges with 3D Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, there is a dual rear camera with a combination of a 12MP wide-angle sensor with 1.4-micron pixels, f/1.75 aperture and a secondary 13MP telephoto lens with 1-micron pixels and f/2.6 aperture. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper with 1.4-micron pixels and f/2.0 aperture.

Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus is priced at Rs 25,999 and it will be made available from April 30 in India. And the handset will be available for pre-booking from April 20. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Android One version. That means the phone will have no skins and customisations offered by the company.

The Nokia 7 Plus model features a 6-inch Full HD+ (1080×260 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen supports 500nits of brightness and has a Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the Nokia 7 Plus handset supports dual camera setup at the rear. The camera module includes a primary 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 1.4-microns, whereas the second sensor includes a 13MP sensor with 1-microns and f/1.75 aperture. This camera module supports 2X optical zoom and dual-tone LED flash. Both lenses are powered by ZEISS optics. Also, there is a 16MP selfie snapper on the front panel.
