Nokia 216 Feature Phone Unveiled in India at Rs 2495

Microsoft might resurgence the feature phone segment as it launched its latest mobile, Nokia 216 in India for a price of Rs 2,495. The Nokia 216 is a Dual SIM mobile which will be available for sale in India from October 24. Nokia had launched the Nokia 230 Dual SIM mobile back in December for a price of Rs 3,869.

The latest mobile Nokia 216 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. The device offers VGA (0.3-megapixels) camera both at the rear and front panel. The primary rear camera comes with a LED flash support which can be utilized as torchlight as well. The front camera also sports a LED flash module for taking selfies.

The Nokia 216 Dual SIM mobiles run on Nokia Series 30+ operating system. The device supports expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card and has a 16MB of RAM that functions the device. The Nokia 216 Dual SIM mobile has a 1020mAh battery which Microsoft claims to deliver the talk time up to 18 hours and standby time of 19 days.

The Microsoft Inc. has offered one free game per month from Gameloft for the period of a year for Nokia 216 users. The users can enjoy popular games titles like GT Racing and Little Big City. The apps and games are accessible through Opera Game Store.

The connectivity options include AV connector, Bluetooth, microUSB, SLAM and HSP/HFP profile. The default music player supports a wide range of audio formats such as AAC, AMR, MIDI, and MP3. The phone also support media formats of H.265, M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264/AVC.

The latest Nokia mobile measures dimensions at 118.0×50.02×13.5mm and weighs at 83 grams. It comes with a polycarbonate shell. The Nokia 216 Dual SIM mobile will be available in black, blue, and grey color variants.

The launch of feature phone from Microsoft is a bit surprising, as the company has announced the sale of its feature phone assets to FIH Mobile. Therefore, the newly launched Nokia 216 Dual SIM mobile might be the last feature phone from Microsoft.
