Intex mobiles launched two new budget mobile phones with 4G VoLTE compatibility named as- Intex Aqua 5.5 VR and Aqua Craze II at an ongoing India Gadgetz Expo 2016, in Bangalore. The newly launched 4G VOLTE Mobiles Aqua 5.5 VR smartphone is priced at Rs 5,099 while the Aqua Craze II is priced at Rs 5,990. Among these smartphones, the Aqua 5.5 VR will be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart from October 19, while the Aqua Craze II will be made available via company’s retail channels.

The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The device gets acceleration from a 64-bits MediaTek MT6737V/W processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with a 2GB RAM. On the storage front, the budget mobile phone offers an 8GB of internal storage which could be extended up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Intex Aqua 5.5 VR

For photography, the Aqua 5.5 VR offers a 5MP primary rear camera with dual-LED flash. The front panel is also equipped with a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling. The device is powered by a 2800mAh battery. The device comes with connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, 3G/2G, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and Wi-Fi.

The highlight of Intex Aqua 5.5 VR is that the smartphone supports VR capabilities and is pre-loaded with 3D content. It will be available in Blue and Champagne color options.

On the other hand, the Intex Aqua Craze II features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The device is equipped with a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The Intex Aqua Craze II comes with the same 8GB internal storage as of the Aqua 5.5 VR.

On the camera front, the Intex Aqua Craze II features 5MP camera sensors on both front and rear panel of the device. The device gets its juice from a 2500mAh battery. The connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The Intex Aqua Craze II will come in Grey, Champagne, and Dark Blue color.

Both smartphones come with Intex’s value-added services such as LFTY and also features popular apps such as Opera Mini, NewsHunt, Matrabhasha, and Saavn. The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR will compete with budget mobile phones such as Alcatel Pixi 4, Lava A97, and Xiaomi Redmi 2 to name a few.
