Huawei P10 with 6GB RAM, Android Nougat spotted on GFXBench

A new Huawei smartphone with model name ‘Huawei LON-L29’ has been spotted online on GFXBench website. As per several reports, the assumed smartphone is expected to be the Huawei P10. The upcoming mobile will be the successor to existing Huawei P9 smartphone which was launched in India in August this year.

According to the GFXBench listing, the Huawei LON-L29 also called Huawei P10 smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. The upcoming mobile will come equipped with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Mali G71 GPU. The device may offer 6GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.

For photography, the Huawei P10 smartphone will offer a 12MP primary rear camera with LED flash, 4K video recording, HDR, and face detection features. The front camera will comprise an 8MP sensor for selfies and video chats. However, it is not clear if the upcoming mobile will have a dual rear camera setup by Leica similar to the P9 handset. The Huawei P10 smartphone is expected to run on latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The upcoming mobile, Huawei P10 is expected to support two SIM slots and 4G LTE connectivity. In addition, the smartphone will have Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi support. The sensors on board will include barometer, pedometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, and proximity sensor.

The Chinese OEM, Huawei has recently stated that it has been shipped over 9,000,000 devices of its latest mobile, the Huawei P9 globally. The USP of the Huawei P9 is its dual rear camera setup by Leica. The smartphone was launched in India for a price of Rs 39,999.

The dual rear camera setup is becoming the trend in the smartphone space and hence, many smartphone makers are offering such a setup in their devices. The dual-camera setup on Huawei P9 is co-developed by Leica.

The dual-camera setup comprises a pair of 12MP sensors go together with Monochrome and RGB sensors. The camera features dual-core ISP, depth measurement, professional DSP, enhanced image focusing, processing, and speed. Furthermore, the camera features laser autofocus, contrast focus, depth focus, and hybrid autofocus. The smartphone doesn’t support the optical image stabilization which is questionable.

The Huawei P9 smartphone flaunts a metal unibody design, diamond cut edges, and well-designed 2.5D glass. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. It is equipped with a 64-bit Kirin 955 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of board storage. With the hybrid card setup, the storage could get further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Huawei mobiles recently launched the Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 smartphones at an event in Munich, Germany. The Huawei Mate 9 is priced at EUR 699 (roughly Rs 51,600) while the Porsche Design Mate 9 will be sold at EUR 1,395 (roughly Rs 103,000). Both the smartphones features a 5.9-inch display. However, Mate 9 offers a full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, while the Porsche Design Mate 9 offers QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. The Porsche Design Mate 9 is the first smartphone from the company which features the dual-edge curved display.
